Primary Responsibilities

System Development & Design: Build secure, high-quality production code and design creative software solutions that break down complex technical problems.
Technical Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, conduct robust peer code reviews, and champion clean, secure coding standards.
System Automation: Identify areas in the system pipeline to automate troubleshooting and eliminate recurring production errors.
AI Integration: Lead the safe, compliant adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software engineering practices (like automated code review, testing, and incident analysis) to improve code quality.
Vendor Engagement: Evaluate and collaborate with external startups, technology vendors, and internal departments to drive architectural design choices.

To qualify for this senior-level role, candidates should possess the following skills and credentials:

Education & Experience: A formal degree or certification in Software Engineering with 5+ years of applied technical experience.
Backend Expertise: Advanced expertise in Java development utilizing the Spring Boot framework.
Frontend Technologies: Strong working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React or Angular.
Data & Streaming Systems: Advanced understanding of Apache Kafka data streams, alongside database familiarity with Cassandra, MongoDB, or other NoSQL environments.
DevOps & Modern Methodologies: Practical experience managing agile workflows, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, cloud architectures (AWS), and application security standards.
